ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Sherri. I'm your everyday average person: I'm a wife, a mom, a grandmother, an animal lover and a candy-holic. I love my family and friends. I love all things beauty and skincare. I've been married to a wonderful and supportive man for eighteen years. My husband and I have a blended family, my son from a previous marriage, his twin daughters from a previous marriage, and together we have two more daughters. So that makes five, right? We have our first grandchild, who is such a joy to us. She reminds us of how precious life is. Did I mention that I'm fifty three years old?
I recently discovered that I have breast cancer. Ever since the day I got the call from my Radiologist, time seems to have stopped. I feel as if I'm in suspended animation. Everything and everyone around me continue on with their lives, the earth is still rotating, while I am standing here watching life as if I'm on the outside looking in.
So after doing research and finding a whole community of women out there like myself, I decided to share my journey with others. I will be blogging weekly and sharing with you updates on my health and my mental state, the good, the bad, and the ugly. The goal is not to draw attention to myself, but to reach out and touch others who may find themselves in the same "suspended state" as I do. With God, family, and each other....we can get thru this.
